Start of a property tax revolt?

An overburdened taxpayer in Cambridge, ON flipped me this picture today.  It's of a sign he put on his fence.

Looks like he's paying over $4,600 a year in property taxes.

Good way to let your neighbours know about your assessment, but also to protest the city's excessive tax burden.

I'm wondering if it will catch on...

Good on him!

What a good idea! Is it legal to post a similar sign on your front lawn in the City of Toronto?

Where do I sign up?

The City of Cambridge has been stealing from residents using dubiously inflated MPAC assessments, squandering our tax dollars on Taj Mahal City Hall buildings, theaters and other unnecessary works, grossly mismanaged construction contracts, and funding an army of state police to pray on taxpaying motorists. The signal strength of speed trap radar is so thick that you can almost fry an egg on the hood of your car.

Stop talking about it. LET's ACT!
