Regulating gas prices doesn't work. It never has, it never will.
Word to the wise: this is what happens when government's feel that they need to be seen as "doing something."

These regulations will favor the companies that can obtain the lowest wholesale gasoline prices. Rural stations (higher transportation costs) and small retailers will be hit the hardest since they don't get a brand discount.
The only stations left standing at the end of this will be owned by large integrated oil companies located in urban centres. This will be ugly.
And once again socialism will create the kind of big corporation dominated world that socalists claim to be against.
