Iggy Muses about a Carbon Tax

This is the type of politician that scares taxpayers. Musing about new taxes and not offering specifics.

Not the sign of a savvy politico. Heck, even Stephane Dion, who has a dog named Kyoto is against a carbon tax.

You know what they say about judgment - you either have it or you don't.

Can't teach it. Not even at Harvard.

Here's the thing about this goofy plan. The idea is that we need to tax carbon-based energy to incent people to consume less.

Over the past 5 years -- oil prices have doubled. Gasoline prices have doubled. This increase is certainly more than any politician would have the guts to tax.

Is that not enough incentive to consume less? If not, how high will Ignatieff push fuel prices?
