The only profit allowed in health care are unionized workers wages and that is why the hue and cry to avoid any change. Some 40% of health care in USA is spent by the gov on the uninsured. The uninsured in the US don't have to wait like we do!
Health care workers are also unionized in the U.S. too. I heard Manitoba refused to licence the private MRI clinic.Way to go Manitoba. Don't ever fool yourselves that allowing private clinics does anything but allow the privitization of healthe care.They will(The Liberals and PC's) allow medicare to fold. The American Government fears it as an unfair trade advantage. The closer a state is to Canada the more they want a Medicare system. The Right wing Governments of the US fear anything that sounds too democratic. They have a series of dictatorships.The President has veto power. And as a dictatorship they back big and as history points out corrupt businesses. Enron etc.etc. The US government wants medicare to fail so to deter any future administration from implementing it. They want our natural resources period. They don't give a damn about our people or good social programs. Ask the rest of the civilized world.They look at us as a model to be admired. America is a big right wing facist country. Look how they treat their poor and visible minorities.Over 40% of bankrupsies are caused by people(Families) that can't pay their medical bills. I had a cousin in the states who had to sell his farm to pay medical bills for him and his wife.
They both passed away broke. I know of a farmer from back home who had a stroke in Texas.He had no health insurance from Canada. It cost him $150,000.00 US for 10 days in ICU. The family chartered a plane to bring him back home. He lasted 6 mos and passed away. You small dead young conservatives better be careful what you wish for. You're fairly healthy while you're still young.You will get old and that's when your health will fail you. Look at your family histories.Cancer will claim 40% more victims in the next 15 years.If you have any assets at all you will have to pay in the states.You PC's make me want kick your asses. You are so full of crap.

I'm for any government that will trash a very one sided free trade agreement and support medicare. What does shawn of the dead and anonymous believe in? The oil in Alberta is also alot cheaper to get out of the ground.It costs 10.00 a barrel higher to get most crude out of Sask ground. Ive been told the cost in Alberta is 2 or 3 dollars a barrel. More in the tar sands. That is luck not skill. Your freedom is that we should listen to George Bush. I will not follow anyone like a sheep.
False. As you can see from the map, the development stops at the border. Yes, the oil is heavier in Saskatchewan. But it's not the most expensive oil to develop. The oil sands cost almost $15 bucks a barrel to produce. But there's no slowing down there.

Shawn you have rights in Medicare here in Canada.If you are not satisfied with one doctor you can see another.If you insist on paying for private care take a bus and go south to the states they would be more than glad to take your money.
