Alberta throws more money at wait-times

The province of Alberta is likely to post an $8-billion dollar surplus for this fiscal year. The provincial government plans to use $1.4 billion to reduce wait-times.

The money will provide 657 new acute-care beds and 85 new long-term care beds.

Prediction, Alberta leads the country in reducing wait times, the Federal government takes the credit and encourages other provinces to follow Alberta's lead in reducing wait times, the other provinces complain that they don't have the financial resources to match Alberta, the Feds bow to the other provinces and come up with an election platform to take more money out of Alberta to help other provinces reduce waiting times to match Alberta.
Brilliant. Except for us Albertans who once again lose.
